Highway 1 loops about 14,500 km around Australia, the longest national highway in the world. Driving all of it is called the Big Lap.
It reaches every mainland capital city except Canberra. Its road sign changes from state to state, such as M1, A1 or National Route 1, and Tasmania has its own Highway 1, from Hobart through Launceston and Devonport to Burnie.

Roo Road Rescue is about safe driving. You score best by slowing down to avoid collisions, especially at dusk and at night when kangaroos are most active, and by helping injured wildlife.
On real roads: stay under the speed limit, only stop where it is safe, use your hazard lights, and call your local wildlife rescue service.
Based on a true story: the maker of this game once hit a kangaroo near Cooma, NSW.
Roo Road Rescue rewards safe driving. Slow down to avoid collisions, especially at dusk and at night, and stop to help injured kangaroos on the verge.
Hit an animal and it is injured, not killed. Call Wildlife Rescue straight away (1 life) or lose 2 lives.
Giant wombats are as big as your car. Hitting one wrecks the car and ends the trip, so brake early when you see one.
In real life: stay under the speed limit, only stop where it is safe, use your hazard lights, and call your local wildlife rescue service.
Score = lives left × 1,000 + time bonus (5,000 minus 10 points for every second). Each driver's best run counts.
A mother roo with a hurt leg is sitting on the verge, and her joey is shivering. Press Help now when the needle is in the green, twice, then call Wildlife Rescue.
